VESTA Transforms Quarry

VESTA Production was recently tasked with transforming the former Quarry in Weston-Super-Mare into a stunning outdoor performance space for two nights of fantastic comedy headlined by Geoff Northcott & Darren Harriot, on behalf of Blakehay Theatre & Weston-Super-Mare Town Council.

The VESTA Production team designed, specified & delivered significant Site Power, Staging & Structures, Production & Site Lighting as well as Production Audio packages to enable the quarry to be seen in a whole new way, creating a stunning new event space for the town.

Our staging package featured our new Milos MR1T Arched Truss Roof structure and Prolyte LiteDeck.

Production & Site Lighting consisted of our Martin Professional, Chauvet Professional and ETC product ranges, power efficiency and visual impact being key components for their selection. Control provided by ETC with all production lighting & key architectural features that create the backdrop to the event allowing the whole space to compliment the looks being created onstage.

Production audio once again saw the deployment of our d&b audiotechnik system, and control provided by our Digico S21 console.

Site power consisted of two 100kVA synced generators to enable flawless reliability throughout the project providing power to production, site catering and site lighting.

The VESTA Production team looks forward to returning to the Quarry in the near future for another fantastic set of events in its stunning setting.
